Has anyone else been feeling like hiding? I know it’s not just me….there must be some planetary thing going on. Someone said Mars and Pluto are squared ….hmmm. Sounds painful and it certainly seems to be causing a bit of angst amongst the population of planet earth.

So I am back from my hiding, the Hermit behind me for now….it really was a hiatus from the internet. I find that the computer, internet, facebook, twitter (just canceled that account) has a HUGE drain on me and interfers with my psychic work so I am choosing carefully how I interact with it.

My business is booming and that feels real good and I have some new ideas for this blog and classes that I wish to teach. Watch for my new page called “Judee’s Gems”. Wise words, concepts and wisdom that has dropped through from the Higher Realm.

The four suits or Minor Arcana of the Tarot represent the everyday aspects of life. These cards are the oracle of our desires, emotions, thoughts and physical world. There is a natural progression through them that reveals to us just where we are in relation to manifesting our reality. You are always manifesting. Are you manifesting what you really want? If not and you aren’t sure why you are off course the Minor Arcana will help.

WANDS (Staves, Staffs, Rods) represent our soul essence, our desires. They are the fire that drives us forward. When there are many wands in a reading it is likely that your soul is beginning to nudge and to awaken you to moving towards its purpose and fulfillment. Here is where our aspirations arise and ask us to take action.

CUPS (Chalice) represent our emotional body. The emotional body is the element of water. Water is a powerful force, even when it is moving gently in a river or stream it is always moving, pushing forward and overcoming any obstacles in its way. At full force, such as a tsunami, it will tear apart anything in its path. When we vibrate emotional energy into the matrix of life, then we begin to draw to us what it is that we desire. Are your emotions flowing naturally or do you push them down until they are a tsunami and you explode?

CRYSTALS (Swords) represent our mental body. The crystals are the element of air and show us where our mind and thoughts are taking us. Negative patterns of thinking, the underlying currents, will rear their ugly head here and may sabotage your desires. There is a purpose to this, which is to offer an opportunity to adjust our course.

WORLDS (Disks, Pentacles) represent earth, the three-dimensional world. This is the material realm, such as the car and the house. It is the material/physical mirror of our interior perception of our self and the world. If we didn’t catch the pattern through the other three suits, we certainly can look at the world around us and see if we like what we are creating. Again, it is another opportunity to adjust our course.

How does the manifestation process happen?

Let’s say that you have a desire to buy a new car. Perhaps you think about it from time to time but never put any emotion behind it…. then it just fizzles and never materializes. However, if that desire (wands) becomes a strong or ‘burning’ desire you begin to bring the emotions (cups) to it.

It seems that the car you desire is everywhere! It just passed you on the street; the driver even resembles you. Every commercial and magazine has that car in it. You may even feel yourself in the car; hands on the steering wheel. Do you feel the road under the wheels! Oh, yes! And that, mmmmmmmmm, new car smell.

Your mind (crystals) has begun to come into play and takes you to the car dealership. Which car, what options, how much, can I afford this and how do I finance it. And last, but not least, you have the keys in your hand; you are parking it in the driveway. Ah, Ha! It is manifest (worlds) in you life.

~ The Seven of Wands, Courage (Voyager Tarot) ~

Courage, a natural gift that we all possess. It lies in the depths of our soul, a natural and benevolent ally awaiting opportunities to rise to the surface like a Gallant Knight on a strong steed to raise his laser-sword of light and to cut through and to cut away any unnecessary fears that arise and hold us back from fulfilling our Soul’s purpose.

Wands are the Light-essence of our very being, our Soul, what we are meant to actualize as beings in this lifetime. The Seven must know the ultimate Truth of the matter. It is our soul seeking to shed Light on an aspect of itself that has been hidden and now is choosing to surface. Allow Courage to come forward and walk you into your inner shadows and show you the Truth of who you are, releasing a piece of your soul that was hidden and now wishes to awaken so that you may stand strong.

Your Fears can become your Allies if you will confront them and draw them out. Let Courage be your guide.

Is there an equal balance of giving and receiving, nurturing and caring between us? How can we move beyond the obvious physical expression of love to the higher realms of the sacred, transcending time and space? How can we turn ‘love making’ into a true sacred union?

On a personal level it is time to ask if your creative (feminine) expression is being manifest (masculine) in the world. How can I bring myself into greater union and harmony with the Divine in my life? A disposition of harmony and beauty allows you to share your loving energy with others.

Today The Fool appeared. This archetype appeared to me today while I was in Bridge Pose during my yoga set this morning. I was, obviously, looking at the ceiling and there, in the textures of the paint, was the image of The Fool. Odd? Not really. This is how messages come to us; in moments when we least expect revelation…when the disquieting mind is out of the way.

The image that pops out first is the unborn child, trusting the order of the Universe, representing new life, innocence, and the promise of a bright future. You know you are taken care of and that you can relax and be yourself. The Fool is playful, open, and receptive to the simple pleasures in the world around him. He follows his intuition without forethought or question. Everything is a new adventure, fresh and unadulterated and is approached with great enthusiasm and wonder.

There is a person falling toward the unborn child. He is free-falling into his new life, representing letting go and allowing. There are people reaching up with their hands. Are they reaching for their new life? Are they ready to catch (showing a willingness to support) the person that has taken this leap off the precipice? The doll, obviously worn and torn from life’s experiences still has a wide-eyed innocence and smile.

The “0” represents Spirit – the God force – and is the ancient symbol for the number 22. 2+2=4 and 4 is the number of manifestation in the 3D world.

When this card shows up you are being asked to be spontaneous, follow your heart, and take that leap of faith towards your dreams. The Divine will support you. You are the Spirit of God manifest on the earth plane. The Universal Truth is that you are the Dance and the Dance is you!

Today brings us the Six of Swords from the more traditional Rider-Waite tarot deck.

Swords represent the mind and I always see swords as being ‘double edged’; will you take the posture of defeat or the attitude of ‘new possibilities’. Also, a well-honed sword (a sharp mind) is able to cut through the matter at hand.

Here we see a man, woman, and child in a boat crossing a lake. The weather seems dreary. Their backs are turned to us so they appear to be leaving one shore and heading for another. Their postures suggest coldness, defeat. Perhaps they have been forced to leave their home and to go where… into uncharted territory, the unknown? Are they going to accept defeat or transcend the situation?

While this card, at first, feels bleak, let’s look a little closer and see the more subtle ‘signs’ in the card that give rise to a more positive outcome.

On one side of the boat the water is rough and on the other side smoother and calmer, an indication that they are heading toward ‘smoother sailing’ if they choose to see it. Will they take the attitude of better prospects on the other shore? The number Six gives hope that they will adjust their attitudes; see the higher perspective, how they created their situation and that they will transcend it.

There is always hope if we are willing to adjust our sails…

Tarot Basics 100

The traditional tarot deck consists of 78 cards and has a framework of 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana. Each card is rich with symbolism, numbering and phrases that give indication to the meaning of the card. Some decks incorporate astrological aspects, numerology, and may even bring certain ethnic symbolism into play. Since this is about basics, I am going to stay with the more traditional concepts.

The Major Arcana also called the Trump cards are considered the archetypical aspects of life and relate to our higher purpose and matters of deeper significance. The Major Arcana represent the journey of our personal development from The Fool (0), which is the innocence into which we are born, to the Universe (21) where we complete our journey.

The Minor Arcana relate to the more immediate circumstances of our everyday life. Each of the four suits represents a personal aspect within us and is connected to an element of the outer world.

The Wands represent our spiritual aspects: our hopes, dreams, and the deep inner soul desires that wish to be expressed and actualized in the outer world. Its world aspect is fire.

The Cups are our emotional body: how do we ‘water’ the seeds of our hopes and dreams. What passion do we put into actualizing who we are and how we experience our world? Its world aspect is, of course, water.

The Swords represent the mind: Does the mind rule us or is it a tool that we use to create our hopes and dreams? Its world element is air.

The Disks represent how we have manifested our hopes and dreams in the world: our house, job, relationships, and career. If it is tangible, touchable, it’s the suit of Disks. Its world element is earth.

When used within the framework of a tarot spread or layout, the cards weave the story of how our inner world of hopes and desires is being expressed in the physical world and begins to reveal the truths or fallacies by which we live….

Five of Crystals

The card I pulled for today is the Five of Crystals, Negativity (Voyager deck or the Five of Swords in more traditional decks). Let’s take a look at this card.

Notice how the images seem to be coming “at you” and the colors are predominantly red, mostly dark reds. Red, in its negative expression, is often associated with anger. When anger is prevalent, it feels that everything is coming “at” you or is being directed “at” you and the need to protect yourself (fight or flight) arises. Red is also the color of the root chakra and deals with issues of security, love, and survival. The number five represents struggles, challenges and fluctuations in their negative forms.

The focus of the mind has turned to unforeseen problems, conflicts and defeats. Perhaps you are beginning to feel that what you desire is not worth all the effort, as it seems much too overwhelming. Beware! This is usually one of the ego’s tricks to undermine your efforts and keep you trapped. Feelings are patterns of learned behavior and perceptions based on the past and are usually blinding us to the truth of the present moment.

When this card appears it is important to pay attention to your mind and the energy that is being expressed by you. Thoughts may be brewing in the back of the mind and you may not even be aware of what you are generating. More importantly, you may not be aware of what you are vibrating into the matrix of creation with these thoughts. Thought/vibration is always creating and it is important to be conscious and attentive to what is being generated. Negative thinking is a pattern that is learned and can be ”UNlearned” with conscious intention.

On a positive note this card is a heads up that you are about to sabotage yourself with negative thought patterns and actions. Here is your sign from the Universe that you have an opportunity to change that vibration and the course of your life!
